Faithful Living:

Faithful living is the fruit and a spirit-filled community. Concordia is a congregation that comes together from so many different walks of life. AS such, the gifts of this community are diverse as the needs of the community. How the gospel takes root is such a community is a joy to see. Some of the was in which Concordia is living fiathfully are seen in the work of the WELCA, committees, and the Fair stand. Each are striving to expand their capacity to care for their neighbors near and far. Concordia is also a congregation that stries to care for the Earth. In this next year they will be looking at ways that they can "green" their building as a means of being good stewards of God's creation.

Vocational Living:

Little Norway is a congregation that lives up to the concept of vocation. The word vocation comes from a Latin word that means, "to call." They are a congregation that has heeded a call to "joyfully respond to God's love." It is not just something that they do. It is essentially who they are. Rooted in God's word through worship and life-long bible study, they respond to that word in their community life, in fellowship, sponsoring of foreign mission projects, and raising awareness of the world's need for the gospel.

Passing on the Faith:

Faith formation is a vital part of missional ministry. Maple Lake is a community that understands the importance of pasing faith onto the next generation. There is an ever increasing desire to share God's love and God's word with the youth of this congregation that is seen in so many ways. In baptism we are claimed as children f God. This congreagation is devoted to witness to this proclamation and it partners with Christ to raise our children so that they may know the good news of God's Word. This means that every adult is a godparent; every adult is called to pass faith on to the next generation.

Intergenerational Ministry:

The pitter-patter of little feet is now commonplace at St. John's. Sunday School is hopping and it is not unusual to hear "little voices" outsinging the rest of the congregation at times. This congregation has been gifted with the preence of the generations. The young parents in this community have the wisodom and caring of older generations who are always ready and willing to share God's love through word and action. Through hands-on, practical experience, they are equipping a new generation of leaders.

Hospitality:

One of the definitions of hospitality is the act of generously proiding care and kindness to whoever is in need. The spiritual gift of hospitality is one that Trinity has in spades. Care of neighbor is visible in community benefits, activities, meals,a nd even in casual conversation around a cup of coffee. Trinity's gift of hospitality extends far beyond their own community. This community generously provides care for those in ened through their record breaking quilt ministry, and other global aid-associated ministries. They also practice hospitality in their outreach to Pathways Outdoor Ministry, making a place for the youth of this area to grow in faith while stepping into the great outdoors.
